sure it's only 2000 some people.
but damn.
we couldn't even get above 40% for any good qualities.
where was the poll taken?
and they say racism is dead.

uncle ruckus.
so rather than study for my test i watch this...
OMG.
this has to be the man that uncle ruckus is based on.
he HAS to be.
this is the most hilarious thing i've ever seen.
him discussing how "ugly" michelle obama is sounds just like something uncle ruckus would say
he has to be mentally insane.
in this next video he talks about how he's not black.
this brown skinned, nappy headed, big nostrils having breathing all the white man's air is not black. because he is saved.
oh dear.

silver medals.
one of the things that pisses me off to no end is being someone's "2nd choice"
i know it's mostly a pride thing but fuck it
this has happened to me for years and it's annoying as fuck. i was just reminded of it while i was absentmindedly watching some wack ass tv show that i don't remember the name of.

this has happened to me for years and it's annoying as fuck. i was just reminded of it while i was absentmindedly watching some wack ass tv show that i don't remember the name of.
what i refer to as a silver medal: meaning a dude who knows me and my friend will try to get at a friend of mine.
when she either a) shuts him down completely
b) leads him on while he plays his face trying to make her wifey and shit
c) he realizes that he has more in common with me
d) he realizes that my friend ain't shit/is clingy/etc.
then i get this half ass "so what's up"
...nothing you ass.
like...is that supposed to be a compliment muthafucka?!?
and usually if my friend turns him down because of a), she has already told me all the things that is WRONG with said guy...why do you think i would want you?
i don't understand...
if somebody meets me and another girl that i know around the same time, and then decides to all out pursue that girl. it's slightly insulting that you kinda just decide to make a lame pass at me after things don't work like you plan.
because it seems like you're just settling for me and i'll pass on that shit. thanks.
you have already made your decision and you must live with it.
i have no interest in being a backup option.

men lie. women lie. numbers lie too.
i HATE statistics.
after taking a few stats classes i've learned that any number can be manipulated to say what you want it to say.
i also know that people attempt to extrapolate to the larger population using very small sample sizes that may not be representative of the larger population or using very non-diverse [read: middle/upper middle class whites, college students...etc] samples that may skew results.
for example.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/09/presidential.polls/index.html
the survey used in this article that states that mccain is ahead in national polls uses a sample of 1,022 phone interviews carried over 3 days. this means that they only polled maybe 340 people per day [they could have done better for a national survey] and assuming that they even attempted to interview people from ALL 50 states [which i HIGHLY doubt] would mean that they only polled about 20-21 people per state.
maybe i'm just trying so hard to justify.
i'm trying SO HARD to believe that the american people aren't so dumb.
i'm REALLY trying hard to believe that white women did not fall for the ploy of mccain, and won't vote for him just because he has a white vagina owner as his veep. [http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080909/pl_nm/usa_politics_women_dc]
people jumped on michelle for saying that she was proud for the first time in her country...
well i have never been proud of this country.
and i'm afraid that america will prove me right in electing john mccain simply because he's white and familiar.
ugh.

wahhhhhhhh
randomtime
i'm sick of rain. it rains like four days out of the week.
i've noticed that this is slowly morphing into a quasi-photoblog...and i'm cool with that
i have absolutely no motivation whatsoever to be a student.
this is not good.
i've noticed that i've started to dress/act more and more like a hippie and/or hipster lately.
this is also not good.
i have adopted an i-really-don't-give-a-fuck attitude about everything.
not sure if this is good or bad yet.
i'm probably doing to temporarily dye my hair black.
i'm going to miss my vaguely auburn hair.
i need to attempt to make new friends since the majority of my friends are off campus [or out of the country]
i also need to put money in my savings account and go the gym more than once a week...
we'll see how that all works out.
