loud sigh.

*mom sticks her uninvited hand into my hair*

*makes noise*

mom: are you sure you want to do this? it's thick.

me: that's the point. thanks mom.

mom: i mean...as long as you like it. i want to see how this goes

me: why did you get a perm in the first place

mom: because it was too thick, i couldn't comb it

me: you don't comb it half the time now

mom: that's not the point

LOL. Just had an almost similar discussion with my mum. (I big chopped a second time last week - or two weeks ago, after I gave up going natural in Aug '09 - she still hasn't seen my hair) Generally, our only fight is/always has been/ and always will be my hair - even when it was permed.

-Mum, I am going blond.
- Oh that's nice... I see these girls around with some really nice, curly hair, it's something between a [curly perm] and a relaxer.
- Mum, the point is that I am done with any chemical processes - color excluded, LOL - in my hair.
-Yeah, but the problem is that you don't take care of your hair. You have bad hair.
- (Thanx mum pause)
- If I see one of them, I will try and find out what it is for you.

Okay, random rant tangent - In sum, we love mums!
